Privacy Policy
Iris Creative Co., LLC operates iriscreativeco.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website or hire us, why we collect it, and what choices you have.
We are a photography and video production company. We are not in the business of selling data, and we do not.
Information you give us
When you submit an enquiry or booking form, we collect what you type into it: your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you tell us about your project. If you become a client, we also hold the information needed to deliver and invoice the work.
Form submissions reach us in two places: an email to our inbox, and a stored copy in our website database. We keep both so that an enquiry is never lost to an email failure.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people visit and how they arrived. It records pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site. We do not use it to identify individuals.
- Server logs. Our host records standard access logs, including IP addresses, as part of running and securing the site.
- Cookies. Described below.
How we use it
- To respond to enquiries and quote on work
- To deliver projects we have been engaged for, and to invoice them
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it
- To send updates to people who have asked for them
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations
We do not sell, rent or trade your information.
Third parties on this site
Some parts of the site are provided by other companies, and those companies receive data when you load a page containing them:
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager — site analytics
- Google Fonts — typefaces, loaded from Google servers
- Vimeo — the video players used throughout the site
- Trustindex — displays our Google reviews
- Google Business Profile and Google Search Console — our listing and search performance
- Google Workspace — our email
- SiteGround — our web host
Each of these handles data under its own privacy policy. Embedded video players in particular may set their own cookies when you interact with them.
Advertising
We run paid advertising on platforms including Google and Meta. When those campaigns are active, those platforms may place cookies or similar technologies on this site to measure whether an ad led to a visit, and to show our ads to people who have visited before. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ad Settings and in the ad preferences of your Meta account.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site uses them for three things: keeping it working correctly and loading quickly, measuring how it is used, and measuring advertising as described above.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop you using the site, though some embedded video and review content may not display properly.
Photography, video and your likeness
Our work involves photographing properties, vessels, events and the people in them. Where an individual is clearly identifiable in media we produce, the terms covering its use are set out in the agreement with the client who commissioned the shoot. If you appear in work of ours and want to discuss its use, contact us and we will talk it through.
How long we keep information
Enquiries are kept while they are active and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to us. Client records and finished work are kept for as long as we need them to service the relationship and to meet tax and accounting requirements. Analytics data is retained according to the settings on our Google account.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any of them, or by replying and asking. Email info@iriscreativeco.com and we will deal with it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR. We will honour those requests regardless of where you are.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection, access to our systems is limited to the people who need it and protected by two-factor authentication, and we keep backups. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
